new member with a question

Posted by: user297503 | Mon 26th Apr 2010 18:43 | Last Reply

I am a new member to this site and with me adding a few rounds have now accumilated a Handicap as i am not a member of a club and like to play different courses.

I have been invited by my father in law to an invitational competition at his club and was wondering if the handicap certificate(that can be printed) or the card will be accepted as i am required to have a handicap to play.

Regards

James

James depends on reason but always best to check before.

Courses asking for handicaps for general play will generally accept the Golfshake.com handicap as a recognised handicap either via the Print Handicap Certificate or Handicap Card.  Many members have used for Courses in the UK, Europe and around the world.

If the competition is a Open Club Competition then by design the rules generally relat to a Club affiliated CONGU handicaps which can only be obtained from an affiliated club.   That said I know of many players who have used the Golfshake handicap to play in Open competition and just checked prior to playing.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Darre.n
