I play at Ganton a lot with no problems. I've even been welcomed at Muirfield.
Last year you had "Public" and "Open to anyone" in your advert, which they may have seen. That would cause Alarm Bells to ring in the Office.
I play at Ganton for a lot less than the £75 Green-Fee so I will continue to use that road.

Paul think the ads refer to the great course down south Gatton Manor Golf Club

Paul - what exactly happened there to make them class you as such? I'm pretty new to golf, but have have no issues anywhere I've played as long as I've abided by the club/course rules, including Gatton Manor. I played there twice last year, called them to advise that I might be a bit slow as I'm still learning and they could'nt have been more accomodating. I've had a couple of 'better players' (not particularly better people!) make comments at one or two members clubs as I've duffed shots, but hey - they were obviously born with their low handicaps and never needed to learn! A work colleague is a member at Gatton - can you expand on your experience, it may be something that they should be made aware of.......
