Who's the best player you've played with?
I was sat at home thinking about the people I've played golf with and how good they were.
So who is the best golfer you've ever played with?
And what was their handicap?
I've played with two golfers who were playing off a handicap of six.
Not once have I ever played with a professional golfer (pro-am, etc).
So who have you played a round of golf with and what was their handicap (if it's a professional then don't bother with the handicap, just name names!!!).

I don't know about best player, as his handicap seems to be on a very dramatic rise at present, but I must admit being slightly in awe of Mr Ley's play at Royal St Davids last year.
It was cold, windy, pi**ing it down and the toughest course I think I've ever played and Dave gave myself and Paul Cook what can only be described as a masterclass in how to play links golf. From memory I think he carded 36 points with second place being on about 24. The rest of the scores ranged between 24 down to, I think, 18 points.
I learned a great deal that day, even though I played like someone who'd never played the game before, so thanks Dave. It's just a pity he's a southerner!

I have been fortunate to have played with some very fine professional players of the calibre of Christy O'Connor Snr, Tony Jacklin, Martin Foster, Clive Clarke, John O'Leary, Liam Higgins, yes, even nine holes with Henry Cotton, but the best striker of a golf ball I have ever witnessed is my Pro at my club in Spain whose name was Juan Parron.
I probably played around 70 games with him over a three year period and hitting 18 greens is a rarity these days but this guy seemed to be able to do it every time we played.
I asked him why he was not on the Tour and he said that he seemed unable to play to the same standard through nerves when in competition.
Perhaps he needed the help of someone like Wayne with this new fangled mental approach, which seems so popular these days.

You are obviously looking for some easy money, young Darren, although I would love to swing like you do at the moment.

I have played with too many good players over the years to list them all, but the one I was really impressed with was Richard Masters.
