It's took 12 months

But.... I finally managed to start and finish a round with the same ball. My score card wasn't pretty too many 3 putts ( 6 I think) but I had my second full round without a double figure score, so hopefully heading in the right direction.

Just been accepted into my local club, so come April 1st, I'll be out 3-5 times a week

Great effort.  Always a nice feeling that (plus cost effective!)

Joining a club is certainly the way forward.  You'll see your handicap tumble if you make use of the practice facilities.  Short game, short game, short game.

Congratulations Richard, at least it didn't take you a full year to play one round with the same ball!!!

Joining a club is a good move, you'll certainly play more golf.

And on the plus side is you'll also find more golf balls to replace the ones you normally lose!  lol
