i suffer with really cold feet and was looking at the various heated insoles available, has anyone tried any and if so what do you think?
I have asked this on CGL but didn't think it would do any harm to also ask here

Wow Alan, what a great idea....
I didn't even know you could get heated insoles.
Let me know how you get on if you do decide to try them.

i've seen about 3 or 4 different types, all involve a short "fly lead" which plugs in to the recharger, it must tuck into your socks or something, speaking of socks...you can even buy heated socks.

I had some which were like the heated hand warmers. You can only use then once but I think they last for about 5 or 6 hours.

Alan no not tried. Maplins also have some on offer at £14.99 not the socks but actual batter powered insoles.

well i finally (some weeks ago) bought some battery opperated ones from Maplin, £16 took 4 Duracell and lasted 35 mins when on constant, i was told they would only last 45 mins by young lad who sold them to me and 40 mins by fella who took my money, these time are if left on, you are supposed to turn them on and off evry 5 mins or so to make them last, they went back the next day and i ordered a set of thermasoles (http://www.thermosoles.eu/index.php?language=en&gclid=CMOTrZG7z58CFdkB4wodvxK--g ), now there are not cheap at £110 a pair so i was worried about buying, i got them and charged them up and used them whilst the snow was on the ground watching Everton (iknow, i know), these have a built in thermostat and come on and off automatically, they last between 5 and 8 hours depending on how cold it is and are excellent.
Moral of the story....as every one knows, you get what you pay for.Reply : Mon 1st Feb 2010 16:37
i have to many bodily problems to go into here but i do suffer from hypoglycemia, either way, i have the circulation of a dead goldfish, so if they help then it's money well spent, i was about to say that i'll have to wait untill next year for some more cold weather but it looks like more is on it's way.
