Of course I am Paul. Spouting bravado on an open forum is not only counter productive but also ridiculously childish. There are ways and means of getting reparation for breach of contract either through a credit card company or through the small claims court, it's a quick and painless process in my experience. Whinging on and on for months will not achieve anything, and the longer it's left the harder it gets.
If a credit card was used get in touch with your provider and you will get a refund and they will take on the publisher - OK you may not get your crappy free gift or magazines but you won't be out of pocket. If the offer means that much go to the small claims court and claim for the money and the offer, the cost of the claim will be included.
Just stop whining and do it.

Bob
I have read all your posts, and if you think that I'm spouting off then that's your prerogative. You're of course correct that my pocket has not been hit and I sympathise with your predicament. But as someone who has run a small business you should know that turning up and demanding money or goods from a limited company, especially a large multi-title media group with complex profit and tax centres will not work. Ask yourself this, who owes you the money? Golf Punk magazine? JF Media? A remote jersey based holding company? A European subsidiary?
I too run my own business, if my company owed you money and you came round to my house to ask for it back you'd get nothing apart from a visit from the police because nothing here is owned by me personally.
The only good these posts will do is to highlight to other people that if they subscribe they may not get anything - fair enough. But to resort to threats is a Canute like response.

CCJ's just cannot be ignored, if judgement was granted, in your favour because they did not contest the application, then you have re-dress at the same court.
Shouting on this forum is not likely to produce anything other than the responses you have already, and quite deservedly so, received.
Sometimes one just has to accept that an error of judgment was made, bite the bullet and move on in ones life. Getting steamed up over such a trivial amount beggars belief.

Strangely enough I've just had lunch with a magistrate, and he confirmed that they don't take company's ignoring CCJ's seriously at all, and wouldn't throw the whole gamut of bailiffs, companies house registration or other legal proceedings at them - rather he'd let them ride roughshod over the whole process. His advice was to go down and threaten to break their limbs, steal their equipment and nobody would take any notice.
See you when you get out.

I'm fine it's my alter ego Captain Scarlet that has issues

I tried to change mine to Captain Black, but for some reason it wouldn't accept it. Scary.
PS please don't confuse complete incompetence with throwing a game David. I tried to hole the putt on the 17th, I really, really did.
