Race To Dubai

Posted by: user25349 | Sun 22nd Nov 2009 10:47 | Last Reply

Is anyone else watching in awe at how well Lee Westwood is playing?

I think his iron play is so solid, as is his general all round play..

I would've like to have seen McIlroy top the RTD standings, but I'm happy enough with an Englishman winning it!

There will be a few sets of pings bougth over the next few weeks i'm sure unfortunately Lee's  swing wont come with them. Stuning 4 days golf by a lot of players the European tour is very much alive and kicking.

The greens looked flawless and the scores reflected this. Well done to Lee, he played magnificently all week. McIlroy will have learned that nothing can be taken for granted in this game, but we are going to be entertained by him for many years, a wonderful talent which he expresses with the flair of Seve.

Was very impressed with Ross McGowan, as he played some really great golf which under normal circumstances would have given him victory.

Thanks to the person who put us all in touch with this Veetle website.

I just think it was fitting to have the winner of the DWC also win the RTD.. Too often hype is built up around professional events and they very rarely live up to expectations.

Lee Westwood, and to a certain extent (certainly up to the 15th hole yesterday) McIlroy definately went toe-to-toe and made it great viewing.. It was just a shame Rory couldn't hold out and make the final day more of a battle.  But as John mentioned, He'll be around for many many more years and I have no doubt he'll do great things.

Take nothing away from Westwood.. In my short golfing interest, that is by far the best round I have witnessed!

Oh to have his iron play... One can dream!

I watch a lot of golf, i'm no expert but McIlroy seems to have the swing that others dream about, including me!! I would go as far as to say best looking swing out there and it works as well.

Great result for Westwood, what a great guy!

Rory has done tremendous for only his 2nd full year on the tour. These disappointments will only make him a better player & hungry for trophies, wins etc. I'd love to see him & Westwood paired up in the Ryder cup although I think it will be Rory & G Mac.

Well done to Lee, some people had written him off but it just shows what hard work, patience & determination can do.

David H, Rory has a young mans swing, like I used to remember when I was that age.

JP, Im not surprised as you were a scratch man.

My swing is very "agricultural", hoping to do some good work over the winter to sort it out!
