Weirdest 12 holes I have ever played
Went out at 11.15 with the intention of playing a quick nine holes, as I had to be back by 1pm.
Played the first and had to cut over to the 8th, as there were some seriously slow players in front. Caught up a 4 ball on 10th tee and they let me through, again on 12th they let me through and 16th. That was weird in itself.
But my score. I was playing quickly and wasn't too concerned as it was a lovely sunny day, windy very windy in fact. But I shot 2 under gross. Only missed one fairway and green in regulation. Had three lip outs, for birdies too.
But when I play and try to score, it usually goes pear shaped. Was it because I was relaxed and didn't worry about scoring? Was it because I was able to play faster, which is what I prefer? Or was it just the flukiest 12 holes I have ever played?
Has this happened to anybody else?

Sorry David, thought you were describing one of your normal rounds - off the 1st to the 8th tee, then to the 10th...

In my round last week, I was playing okay, then on the par 3 189yard par 3 I set up as usual and then hit it about 50 yards, completely duffed it. So I put another ball down, just walked up to it, no set up routine or anything and just hit it. Watched in awe as it landed 2 foot from the pin. Think I'll try not setting up more often lol
