Wow!!!! What a run.
I've just played in a friendly Team Match and between the four of us we had a Gross or Nett birdie on 13 of the 16holes we played. I made a birdie 4 on the 16th to close out our Match 5&3. My partner and I posted a birdie on each of the first 11 holes, me making seven Gross birdies including two 2's. The 4 on 16 was my 8th birdie. Have any of you guys had a round like this, where only Birdies will do.

Only in my dreams!!!! Had a few holes where gross birdie is not good enough to win. Probably get 8 birdies in 8 rounds let alone 1.

That's outstanding Lyth. Was it good putting, good tee to green or a mixture of both? either way well done. I'm surpised they lasted to the sixteenth. You realise now that you'll be depressed for the next few games.. unless of course you do it again.

Patrick,
Its my favourite form of the game, Fourball Better Ball Match-Play. We simply just jelled, and yes Putts dropped. My partner put his shot into play and I attacked. I sometimes wonder if I would be better thinking Match-Play when I play Medals because I seem to make more birdies than bogeys most times. I also think that if one playerside plays well then it pulls the others along most times. You do sometimes get a "breakdown" when it becomes one sided.
I started Birdie-Birdie-Birdie, and we were only 1up.

Well played, Lyth, must have been very satisfying. Not being pedantic but 5 & 3 finishes on the 15th.

Sorry John, it was 4&2. I must have been thinking of something else when I wrote it. We lost 14 to a Nett birdie, then won 15 & 16.
