Sublime to the ridiculous
I have just added my latest round and on my card you will see a beautiful 10 (stroke index 17 short par 4)with an exceptional 11(albiet a hard par 4 stroke index 4)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. At the end of the card you will see a BIRDIE, BIRDIE finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. How can I be so inconsistent? I also parred a long par 4 and par 5 followed closely by a 6 on an easy par 3, AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH This has to be the most ridiculous round I have ever played. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

Sounds like my game every time I go out and play. Isn't that why we all love golf so much.

Welcome to golf Kev! It's what keeps us coming back. If I took the best score for each hole on my home course (PGA at the Belfry) I'd card a six under 64! Needless to say, I was quite pleased with the personal best 89 I shot a couple of weeks ago!

Chris your a lucky man I played that PGA course last year on my birthday I Pared the first & last hole everything else went pear shaped What a lovely course and the greens were lighting fast. just knock the putter and its past the hole in no time, will definately have to go back & have another crack at it. Whats the other two course like?

Brabazon is good, greens a little quicker than the PGA. Some really good holes, some quite straightforward. Definitly a matchplay course and you can score well if you consistently. The Derby's not that good, on a par with a top level muni or average private course in my opinion.
Drop me a line when you plan to play the PGA and we'll meet up.

Look at my last score I was 10 over after 11 holes and ended up 35 over after 18 and still ended up with 34 points playing 9 over my golf shake handicapp ridiculous is not the word.
It's my own fault though I haven't put scores on the site since I joined and the other week I decided to open my mouth and tell people on here I was consistantly scoring low 90's and I hadn't had a 100+ round in months since then I have started to log my scores on here and holey hell has broke lose on the golf course I'll play 10 holes brilliantly then go to pieces completely.
It's not bad luck either on 1 hole on Sunday I hit a wild slice and the ball hit a tree and bounced straight back into the middle of the fairway I walked up to it hacked at the thing like a maniac and it happened again sliced it bang into a tree and it rolled back into the fairway I was destined to have a great score even god was on my side but I still played like a usless chimp on the back nine and ruined it.

How well do chimps play if they are not useless?

I can sympathise with the original post though. In my last 6 or 7 rounds Ive been scoring low 30's points but on only 10-12 of the holes. I've been anywhere from +2 to +8 on 8 to 12 of the holes but have only ever beaten 95 once I think thus far. If only I could play the other holes like even a talented chimp the handicap would be tumbling.

We do it for the love of golf ya gotta take the good with thge bad, My friend said he used to play cricket. sometimes he was out in no time and that was it for the day. Golf if your like me if you loose a ball then the chances are your find another in the rough and at least you always gat another go. Its also much better that being at work (most of the time) keep on smiling thing will come good dont worry.
