One for us Oldies?

Posted by: user202037 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Sun 19th Jul 2009 21:03 | Last Reply

One for us Oldies or Has Technology spoiled the game.

I have been watching The Open this week and have been amazed by the number of guys who have missed the fairway with Irons. At first I thought that they were hitting Irons instead of Woods because of Tecnology (its harder to manoeuver a Ball with the new clubs), then I realised that the same Tech stuff was in some Irons too.

So if you go out to play with a set of modern clubs, have you lost the possibility of manoeuvring the Ball around a course like Turnberry. I didn't have any difficulty when I played there the other week, but then again I don't play with State of the Art equipment.

Not so sure about that one david, I peronally think it is just the pressure of the game of golf and the strange kicks that you get in links golf.

Kicks into rough is one thing, pitching it 20 to 30yds wide is another.

The 1st hole.

RtoL wind, drill a long Iron down the right side (ala GOOSEN Sun), how many finished in the left rough?
