Buying Home or Abroad?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what your opinions on buying clubs/gear from abroad like America. I am planning on going over the big pond in september and I was looking at the price of clubs and with the exchange rate they look like a bargain. Do you lot think its a good idea?

Only American stuff is slightly cheaper over there, but then you have to get it home?

I know a bloke who took his old set of clubs with him.

The he purchased a new, custom fitted set while over in America.

Played a couple of rounds with them.

Then, when he came back to the UK he had proof he'd taken golf clubs out with him and you could see that the clubs he'd bought whilst over there had been used!!!!

The down side was that it took him six months to get used to them!
