Result!!!
A couple of weeks ago, my first sub-90 round at The Belfry, an 89 on the PGA, saw my handicap drop to 20.2. This was my first foray into category 3 and I was well chuffed. I even celebrated by ordering a new golfshake handicap card to prove it. Last night I carded 90 around Donnington Grove, a bogey round with two penalties and a six on the SI 18 par 3 (plus a few stupid missed putts). The result was a cut of 0.6 to my handicap.
For the first time ever, I now am the proud owner of a handicap in the teens!!!!
All the extra golf is starting to pay off and I'm made up. All I need now is further cuts totalling 1.2 (four of 0.3) to achieve this years target of an 18 playing handicap, making me a bogey golfer.

Well done but 19.6 is technically 20 so not quite in the teens
I'm only jealous, well done mate.

Nice one Chris, I know how you feel as the proud owner of a 19.7 handicap now. Carded my second ever sub 90 round at the start of the year, shot an 88 on Saturday and an 87 today at Ombersley (shame it was only SSS 68 so could have dropped more!). So still technically a 20 (cheers Darren!) only another decent round away from a proper 19....

Thanks everyone (apart from Darren - why did you have to urinate on my bonfire ). I've now prepared myself for several rounds of sub-mediocre golf while the golfing gods put me back into my place
