Ian Cross Cards For Handicap.

Posted by: user86435 | Tue 7th Jul 2009 15:04 | Last Reply

Well, just joined Boughton, games didn't really go to plan but was ok in the end. Think I mentioned in another post i'm looking for a 12 handicap or better so i can play in the Oscar ash cups at Faversham in september. My gross score was bloody 89, but that included a 9 on a par 4, 2 massive hooks into the trees off the tee, and a 8 on a par 5, another massive hook off the tee out of bounds.

For handicap purposes they only count as a 6 and 7 respectively so my score for a handicap was 85. Thats 13 over Boughton, but with a SSS of 70 that makes 15.

1 behind what I wanted to get, (14) but not the end of the world. Having another game in 1 or 2 weeks,  if I can get enough practice in, i'm hoping to get 82 or 83 max.

Ian,

When you enter your card there is an option after putting in the scores and clicking on 'submit' to enter you stats.  You can enter the following; fairways in regulation, greens in regulation, bunkers, sand saves, number of putts, number of penalties.  It makes for interesting reading.

I always put my stats in on my scores.

This way I can see what is the worst part of my game and work on making it better.
