I assume, Govan that you are not requiring anymore help with your swing.

NO Dave, all the weight I lost last night in the rough, I did not bother to look for it, hence the shape today.
You were supposed to be looking at the Persimmon Driver.

You should be instructing me, Stuart, your handicap is coming down, mine is going up incredibly fast.

Pitching and chipping, in the end, comes down to selecting the correct shot to play with the circumstances presented to you. It does help to have some flair and imagination but if the simple route is selected then anyone can pitch and chip successfully. It requires no strength, whatsoever, just a feel for distance and knowing what the ball is going to do when it lands, by the way you are going to strike the ball. You are probably not making the right choice most of the time.
When playing a chip, the object is to get up and down and it is most important which side of the hole you are going to leave it. A six footer uphill is far easier than a three footer downhill or across a borrow. I suspect you are aiming for the pin without taking these considerations into practice.

Don't worry, Simon. your title is well and truly safe. I like your style. I was attempting to inject a little bit of humour into todays proceedings.
