yippy left arm

Posted by: user83555 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Tue 23rd Jun 2009 13:04 | Last Reply

not my problem but a problem belonging to one of my group and a close friend

his practice swing is fine but when he comes to commence the downswing to actually hit the ball he bends his elbow (almost like the yipps) as if to give a helping hand (or rather helping elbow) ..... and it's getting to him because he is aware he's doing it !

this one's not easy , maybe impossible , to overcome - but if anybody has some suggestions then many thanks in advance because I don't have much idea myself on how best to overcome this !

Buy him one of those sports supports you can get for when you have muscalar issues on the joints.  This will reduce the amount he can bend his arm and help him get over the psychological side.

I'm a bit late on the thanks guys - but thanks ( I suspected the same but it's good to have one's thoughts re-inforced)

I can also tell him that little white lie that on Golfshake I had 38 replies all saying much the same thing !
