With your handicap, Alan, you will be very disappointed in both of those courses, even the Brabazon is nothing to shout about as a golf course. Just because it is the home of the PGA and they play the Ryder Cup there does not alter that fact.

As an afterthought, seeing as you come from Lancashire, why not book yourself a nice hotel in Conwy and play Wayne Santorini's course. Now that will test your abilities and leave plenty to do for the non players.

As a member at the Belfry, I wouldn't recommend the Derby to a 6 handicapper. PGA is worth playing (and better than the Brab in my humble opinion) but you will feel let down by the Derby.
With regards to offers, you won't get better than going direct.

all sorted, didn't want the belfry, couldn't get Conwy so we ended up with Celtic Manor, going for father's day with a mate, while we play the better halves will upto their necks in mud,(both days)
