LONDON

Posted by: user58670 | Mon 8th Jun 2009 22:28 | Last Reply

All,

Were taking the girls to London on the 3rd July for Madonna & Take That Concerts. The lads are looking for a round in London on Saturday 4th July 09. Someone has said The Grove is a good track but pretty steep, any recommendations??

Cheers All

The Grove is good but as you say a bit more pricey than the average round.  The Shire is supposed to be alright but again a bit pricey and sometimes sees some wear and tear with the number of rounds played on the course due to the Seve connection.

Cheers Jim/Darren,

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza London City so I think its North Londonish! I'll try Hendon or Mill Hill and let you know.

 Many Thanks

This hotel is near Blackfriars bridge in the City of London, so the choices are east towards Essex or South.

May I suggest Selsdon Park Hotel and Golf Club, which is an excellent course at reasonable prices and can be reached by train(20 minutes) to East Croydon Station from London Bridge Station and then a short taxi ride to the course.

Book through teeofftimes and you could grab yourself a bargain.
