Golf in Edinburgh, East Lothian area

Posted by: user26342 | Fri 5th Jun 2009 21:25 | Last Reply

A few days back I posted asking about golf courses in Ireland. Today I'm asking about golf courses in the above areas.

We are planning on going in the 1st week in September, cost is the main priority but we still expect to play some decent courses.

Can anybody suggest 3 or 4 courses that would be a good test & nice to play around about the £30 per round mark. We don't mind travelling to reach them as long as there within about an hours drive.

Many thanks.

John.

A trip to Mussleburgh Old Links (inside the Racecourse) is a must, even if just for the history.

The Glen, Gullane No3, and North Berwick are three cracking courses and should be within your budget.

Hi John, I don't know about the prices but I've played up there (there are golf courses around each bend). Apart from the excellent courses mentioned, Monkton hall (a parkland tree lined course) and Dunbar are good courses. I stil love the North Berwick courses.
