Wagers
What (if any) bets do you play regularly?
In my normal 3 ball we play £1 a hole (carried over if no-one wins it outright - skins I guess you'd call it), we have a £5 prize for the longest putt (measured by me beacuse I have the shortest legs!), and a £1 on each par 3 for the closest to the pin (carried over to the next par 3 if no-one hits the green - which happens an awful lot and normally means we playing for £6 on the last par 3 where the requirment to hit the green is waived!).
Oh, and the lowest nett score wins the balls!

Individual and "baller team"
50p in for the individual , 50p in for the team (I have suggested that this should be related to the cost of a loaf of bread per individual - I think because that criterior has not been taken on board that 50p is now a little scant)
we do not apply second prizes so in terms of the inividual winner - only the individual winner gets knocked in terms of his handicap within our society ! Coming in mid thread is not possibly the best means to get some response but "diddly" pay outs and other members experiences of 'Society handicapping' would be something I would be interested to observe !
so you lot out there if you are tuned in then 'start typing'

Dave - have you been enjoying a few more pints than usual in which case good on you !
My group play regularly at our club (not club competition) often we have say 12 turning up on the tee that would normally constitute 3 x 4 Baller teams (although it could be 4 X 3 Baller teams !) The 'Team' will at the end of the round amass a total in terms of stabelford points , the best total wins the team event ! Yes! ala comprehendo !
coming in mid thread means I may have something to ask of our varied golfshake members but I am doing so via replying to your query and possibly I would get more replies by introducing my query as a subject in itself !
