Due to many last minute cancellations and a few last minute registrations i have had to re-adjust the tee slots. These are as follows, your group number is given before your name. Please arive well in advance of your tee slot and make sure you are on the Tee ready to go ten minutes before your slot. On arrival ask for me however if it is gone 11:24 the ask for Simon Overland who will point you in the right direction of the pro shop and range etc. See you on the day, PM me if you have any questions or call me. I have also had so many requests for players to go out together which i have just not be able to accomodate with so many players coming. Please be assured that everyone i have met through golfshake has been great company on the course and im sure you will enjoy your round immensely whoever you have been lucky enough to have been teamed up with.

Thanks for the update Colin, I'll be there around 10am and I'll come and find you before the first tee time.

Running my own league I know how frustrating it can be to have people pull out at the last minute.

Good luck to everyone who is participating in today's event.

I'm up nice and early, clubs are cleaned, creases are in the trousers, polo shirt is selected and there is fuel in the car.

The weather is nice and the wind has finally dropped, what a difference that is going to make.  I've played twice last week and both times it was in a strong wind.

Mardyke Valley is not my favourite course.  The last time I played there, late last year the greens were damp with dew, but you couldn't get a ball to stop on them!  They were rock hard.  So let's see what the course is like today.

Thanks all for a great day.

Thanks to my playing partners and all for the jolly banter.

All I have to do now is tell the mrs about September!

Yes, Colin you are the only one on here who isn't a forum moderator!!!

Thanks to everyone who organised this event and to everybody who turned up to play.

Mardyke Valley isn't one of my favourite courses and after today it remains one of my least liked courses!

I had three bad holes (blobs), played well for the remainder but just didn't seem to score well, so 28 points for me.  I even managed a five putt on the 15th hole, par five, three shots onto the green and ended with an eight.

Thanks to my two playing partners, Jan and Tim, you couldn't have asked for a better pair of people to play with.  Good luck to Jan in the final, well played mate.

This was my first GolfShake event and although I didn't score well I did enjoy the day, and I'll be back for more.

Russ

BTW the winner of the free swing analysis courtesy of www.myswingzone.com is Martin Andrews. Well done Andrew hope it helps

The winner of the www.gtour.co.uk sponsored prize (trendy golf vouchers) for best dressed golfer was Paul Edwards as judged by the delightful Chloe North (daughter of Jack above)
