How did I win ?

All,
I had a good round on Saturday and managed to win my category. On checking the website where our scores are I noticed 4 other players (1 in my category (Cat2) and 2 in Cat 1) all had the same score of 70. I bogied that last and I know one of the other guys had a birdie so I don't think it's best inward half. It's not in handicap order either, any ideas ?

Stevie, It works back 9, then back 6 and then back 3 one of these catogories beat his.

You also take Hcp into account.
YOUR Back 9 +8 Hcp 9.5 = -1.5
HIS Back 9 +6 Hcp 6.5 = -0.5
