Rain
Why oh why does it always rain when I have organised a day out golfing with my mates, some of whom have booked the day off work, wish I had the finances to move to warmer climes.

Just bl**dy typical. Worked late last night and banked some hours for an early finish tommorow for one last round before the weekend. Tee time booked 3.15pm in Southend.
And just look at the forecast. Fan-chuffing-tastic.

Drizzled all morning. was drizzling on the 10 min drive to the course. Stopped as I got there. No rain for the whole 18 holes and the sun even made an appearance. Fantastic. Course seemed to benefit hugely from the rain and from a recent mow. Everything was lush and green.
Even played well going round in 97 (good for me) including a 9 on the last hole. As I said before, were it not that it is an SSS 68 and the quadrouple bogey on the 18th it would have led to a cut in hdcp. Roll on the weekend..

I'll have to give you a shout next time I'm down in Essex, Andy. My parents are in Colchester, must be a decent course somewhere in between the two.
