Peter Alliss
For me Peter Alliss makes listening to the masters an absolute treat, Some yank just shouted the usual "get it the hole" after Chad Campbell's approach on the 1st playoff hole and Peter Alliss response was "I wish someone would throttle that fella!"
Quality absolute quality!

Some of the fans have been very poor, shouting whilst the swing is just finishing. Kenny Perry was putting a pretty tricky 5 footer on the 12/13th hole and when he was just about to line up some idiots started whoopwooing and the usual get it in the hold. Needless to say the professionalism took over, he stepped away and started his putting routine again before sinking the putt.
It's golf not the terraces of a football match!

This now happens at all golf events and I cannot understand why the people who shout are not asked to leave the course!
If people saw this happening then they would think twice about doing it themselves.

They only shout it so when they watch back the highlights they can hear themselves on TV... Sad really, you think they'd be better off streaking.. Its less annoying!!

I agree Paul the knowledge & little quips Alliss comes out with are superb.
These 'get in the hole' jerks did disappear for a while when Tiger was off with his knee. This has gotta be more distracting that people with cameras.

It wouldn't be the same without these characters. Watching Amen corner on the red button with the yank comentators was tiresome.
Did you see Ken on the course when he putted from 4 different directions on one green (cannot remember which one). The first putt (if I recall) was maybe 20-25 feet with a huge break and with only a cursory look he sunk it to a rousing cheer. Quality play and broadcasting.
I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage and the commentary. Roll on the next major...

Very true, John. And besides, when did failure preclude you from a knighthood - look at all the kn*bh**d bankers who've got gongs....
