CONGU

Posted by: user115631 | Mon 6th Apr 2009 10:21 | Last Reply

I'm looking to enter a competition in which a 'CONGU' afiliated handicap is needed, can anybody tell me if the Golfshake handicap is elligiible.

The competition rules quote another web based golf sites as elligible but I don't want to have to go through the whole process if I can help it.

Cheers,

Andy P.

Andy which website do they quote ?

Technically the only way to get an Official CONGU handicap is by joining a club affiliated to CONGU.

I would check with the event organisers they may accept the golfshake.com golf handicap it is calculated in a similar way and you could argue more accurate given you track all rounds rather than a few competition rounds as you by CONGU.  Other members have used in comps that I know of guess depends on which one though.

Andrew I would just give them a call.  The strokesgolfhandicaps is an online service similar to golfshake but without the free service and all the features.

The are however connected to the Golf Care insurers I believe and it looks like this competition is also attached to the insureres.

Regards, Darren.
