Mizuno....My first proper set of clubs were Mizuno 'Olympic Gold' and I loved them.  Stuck with that brand for my irons since (currently use MX20's) and they've served me well.

Mostly high end Jap stuff,my Vice I'm afraid. Wishon and Snake eyes are component suppliers to clubmakers and are better than most of the rack gear IMHO.

Also a set of Ping eye 2's my first ever set including 1,3,5,7, wooods and a Ping answer putter.

Don't do labels apart from Srixon and MD, even then I let Ley have a play with them first.  My irons are Maraging XKR400's by KZG

Whatever takes my fancy at the time when I try them.  The only brand I've stayed loyal to when replacing is Odessey for my last two putters.  Currently have 5 different brands of club in my bag, two brands of ball, two different brands of shoe (which are both different to my last ones) and have used four different brand of glove.  What I will say is that if I change my irons again I will insist on forged heads.

I think I may be fickle....

Dave,

Yes still considering it.  I tried a UST Proforce V2 stiff with a square Sumo head when I played Sherfield Oaks with John Pettitt (his friend's driver).  Got to say the shaft felt superb, really well balanced and, well, right (still don't like the square head though!).  Don't know which weight it was (I know they come in 65g and 75g - think it was the 65g) and I expect it was the stock version and unpured.

May be worth the £50 plus fitting to give it a go.  How long would it take you to do it Dave and what's your fee?

"WALKING ROUND AUGUSTA ON THE FINAL DAY PUFFING AWAY ON A CUBAN"

I hope not Paul, he'd get arrested.  The Yanks have a trade embargo with Cuba, they can't even go on holiday there!

I started off with Mizuno comp CT irons, then switched to Taylormade & have stuck with them for almost 5 years until recently when I was advised to try the Nike Pro Combo forged irons & now I'm a converted Nike man for irons, woods are still TM.

My sand wedge is a titleist vokey, & my putter is Taylormade which I won't be swapping as I love em to bits. Have played with Titleist, Taylormade, Srixon & more recently Bridgstone balls.

My shoes are addidas, my clothing is addidas, stromberg & proquip.

Anybody recommend a good cart bag?? I'm looking at Nike, Ogio & the new Powakaddy Deluxu II??

Cheers.

Good pointer Jonny, I'll have to have a look at that.  Mizunos were going to be my irons of choice until I tried my Srixons, and I tried almost every brand out there.

Got my Srixons last year.  I got the I-302, which were a two year old model when I got them.  Really traditional looking with a small head, narrow topline, narrow sole and hardly any offset.  They're forged and feel like butter when you strike it.  They have a muscle back behind the sweet spot but the rest of the club is cavity so I don't lose much distance when it comes off the toe, just the shape - you can get a lovely sweet looping draw with them.

The only club that came close on feeling was the mizzy MX25's that were my second choice.
