I would agree in the main with you Al. Not a big lover of the course layout, especially 1 thru 8, as it does resemble a muni. Once you cross the road though it's not too bad and I think if the first 8 were like 9 thru 17 it'd be a half-decent course. It's in fairly good nick at the moment too.

Holes 9 to 17 on the Derby are new and were built after the others as they removed half of the Derby to build the PGA (holes 1, 17 and 18 on the PGA are old Derby holes and the 2nd was a Derby par 4 that has been lengthened into a par 5). I think this is why the Derby improves across the road as it's a more considered layout and not so up and down.
Current prices are £70 on the Brab and £25 on the Derby, but these will go up on April 1st and again on May 1st. I believe that the summer prices are £150 for the Brab and £40 for the Derby (it's £70 for the PGA in the summer and £40 at the moment). Or you can play with a member and get reduced green fees.

I agree the Derby is an OK course to play & with a member it's a good deal at £15 but I wouldn't want to pay anymore than that.
