You were fed a load of cr*p, Wayne just like most of the golf yesterday.

Seven players with handicaps of 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 16 playing off threequarters and the best score was 30 pts. The greens were large and very very fast so three putts was commonplace. In actual fact I had 40 putts for the round and I am normally a tidy putter, as you well know. I managed 29 points but I was given full allowance because of my current form.

The yellow markers had been put back to the white marker plates so the course was playing 6750 yards in fairly windy conditions.

A lot of good shots were made from everyone but the scoring proved to be difficult.

So, whoever spun you the lies about 40, 42 points is just attempting to wind you up.
