Advertising Games / Events

Hi all,

Just wondering if people tend to organise a game / event AND highlight them on the forum or would it be best for me to check the events page say once per week?

Dennis, there will be some new stuff and updates coming next week which may solve the above post.

THe existing event/competition was developed 6 years ago to provide a comprehensive competition system for societies, the plan wasn't really to allow the promotion of public social games but this kind of happened.  Therefore the new updates will address this and provide some updates to the overall event system.

You know what would be really cool? An automatic pop up / PM when somebody organises a game / event in an area that the user can define.

EG. If I put in the system that I am willing to travel 50 miles, any games organised within that radius will notify me automatically......

Maybe not in that order

I put up the my games so if you look on the games menu you'll see all of mine.

Then to make certain that people are certain the game is on I will advertise it in the appropriate section of the forum.

Thats great that you do Russ and I certainly look forward to meeting up and playing in the near future.

I think that a lot people put up a game there and then not refer to it in the forums hence why i thought an automated system would be great!
