Now you see, I purposefully did not mention his 'superior length'.
It would seem there are more childish people than me

Will your superior length be out on the first tee at the Belfry Stevo ??

Dave,
It will be if he doesn't get past the ladies tee!!!
John.

Which 9's did you play, 10-18 are my favorate.

Oh dear, the Belfry will sure be fun thanks John for lowering the tone, if it wasn't already

David, yes we played 10 to 27. The wind was relentless but allowed the par 5's to be easily reachable in two except the last which was into the wind and needed a well struck drive, 3 iron and 5 iron. The greens were a bit bobbly but still quickish and two temporary tees. i

Taking on the top 9 in a wind was brave.

We didn't have a choice. However I noticed that some lady members started on the first 9.

I couldnt hit any par 5's in 2 shots, or par 4's for that matter. Stephen does hit a long ball tho, his hybrid goes about the same as my driver...."sob" but he is about 20 years younger than me and I have a bad knee..(thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it ).
By the way Oulton Hall are charging £9 before 9am or after 2pm. what do you say Pat ?

Hi Adrian, even better than that Willow Valley has a 2pm time next Sat for £13.
I'm struggling at work with bloody auditors so a day off during next week can't be done but if you want to play Wi;llow Valley next Sat. There'll probably be a four ball.

Pat, I should be able to let you know on Tuesday if or when I'll be working on saturday. Cheers

Adrian, ok, if you can't we'll arrange something else soon. If you can and I can't get a fourth will open it up to other golf shakers. There's some great deals to be had in present climate.

I think with Twilight golf becomig more popular, those deals have been on for a while.
Last year I only paid early morning or late afternoon and never paid more than £18 at weekends, and usually £10 weekdays. Am now a member so it doesnt matter

Dennis, yes. think members get p*issed off as the twilight golf is becoming earlier as clubs are chasing the money so all and sundry turn up with no real idea about etiquette ie keeping the course in good nick, not realising that you should let players through when there's a ball lost, playing from wrong tees etc. I can understand the members 'there goes the neighbourhood' attitude but it gives me the opportunity the play courses I wouldn't normally part with the price they ask.
