Monthly Virtual Leaderboard
Can someone tell me what use this is?
The current leader is Sve. His table topping score is based on a round played on the 21st Feb, with a score entered of 85 gross, playing off a handicap of 12.5. So his net round would have been 85 - 13 = 72.
Points scored...............................58!
So shot a gross level par, but scored 22 points more than a level par would normally give.
How can that be?
Scores entered here should only be allowed after at least three cards have been entered, to stabilise an entrants handicap. Even then in this case it is meaningless unless checks are made.
Sve,
Not getting at you, just your score was a perfect example of why this table is off no use as it currently stands.

I think that the Nett score shows 17 is the reason, maybe should be 71?

The Virtual Leaderboard is not a competition, or is it?

Hi Allan,
It is interesting that the Hcp range 0 - 10 show that most input full Stats but the other groups less and less as the Hcps go up.
I would be interested to see who are members of a club and have an Official Hcp as against those that use this site to show a Hcp.
Mind you, I also firmly believe that all members of a site like this should post a Full Profile so allowing others to relate to them.

People could use their club 'emblem' to show they are members of a club?

What about the 28 hcap fella at the top of the FIR and GIR? 100% for both, almost 3 putts per hole average and still only manages 22pts? If I was hitting 100% GIR I'd be wanting to make money out of the game. This isn't a glitch, this is user input fraud!

I dont really see the point of the table.
I vote it is removed completely....

Some of us read Stats and see questionable scores.
How can a 5 Hcp hit 16 greens, have 36 putts and shoot 4under?
Only way is reach 6 holes in under GIR (a Stat that is not available on record). It can be done, say at Roundhay but no further information is available to varify that score.
