Summer league with a county twist!

Posted by: user97421 | Tue 10th Feb 2009 07:22 | Last Reply

After some feedback from people playing the 3 counties winter league, i will be running a summer league with a twist this year (as well as a winter league next year).

And see the link at the bototm of the page for further details.

It should be fun!

Looking good Allan, and the twist is a nice touch.

Darren is planning something for this year along the lines of a regional competition.  May be worth sending him a PM to make sure that there's not clash Al.

I agree with most of what you say Al.  The regions do need a tweak and I agree that people should be able to play in more than one event (with only their own regional qualifier allowing them to get through to the final).  Until Darren releases the event, rules and format we have to assume nothing is happening.  I do see your point about representing your region in a league and if I was based further north I'd be playing myself.

Off topic, but are you able to play the Belfry or has the work commitment killed that off?

I don't think this affects the regional qualifiers as it is a completely different type of comp.  Just avoid the 14th June when the East Midlands one is to be held.

I keep eyeing up your comps Allan but they never fall quite right for me datewise.  I struggle to get a pass out to play golf at weekends although I shouldn't moan as I usually get two rounds in during the week.  However I do get odd weekends when I can play and when one coincides with a comp I'll be there.
