At the moment the Motocaddy is winning most of the awards but I've had a Powakaddy for the last 3 years & have had no problems & the aftercare is 2nd to none.

Russ,
It was the trolley that was moving pretty fast. But as I said the service I received from Powakadyy had it repaired in 2 days. I won't be letting it go down a steep hill again!!

I have heard very good things and even better service reviews from a product called Go Kart.
Just Google Go Kart golf trolley, they are UK based and customer service is fantastic!

One of my playing partners has a powerkaddy, and when he had a problem with it they were very good at fixing it.
John, your story reminds me of a day when I was playing a The Channels GC in Chelmsford.
My playing partner had a power trolley (can't remember what make!) that had a remote control with it.
He told me that when the trolley got out of range of the remote is should stop, but his wasn't working!
As we walked from the green to the tee we had to go down a steep hill. Well my partner's trolley was in front of him and started to speed up going down this hill. Half way down my partner realised that his trolley wasn't going to stop before it ran off the path and into the lake! Never seen anything so funny as my partner going full pelt downhill to catch hit trolley.
He did manage to catch it just as the wheels started to lift off the floor as it started to go into the lake.

Just bought a GoKart. www.gokart.co.uk
Fantastic customer service, reasonable price (ex Demo models being sold off for £140), solid build and look good.

Neil, I have not had dealings with them but I have the same trolley as the one they are selling. The remote model with two motors. I bought mine on ebay wheen they were first imported from China.
They are an exact copy of the Powercaddy, which as we know is almost twice the price, but having said that mine has been nothing but a pain in the backside. The top joint on the handle broke, being plastic and I have had to make a bracket up to make the joint solid. The wheels are made in two sections and both of mine came apart and I have had to tape the spokes up to keep them together.
There are four small nuts and bolts on the wheels and by the motors that are prone to shearing when out playing so I have completely changed all four with good quality split pins so that if one breaks on the course I can repair it, as I carry spare split pins and a pair of plyers.
Mine is now a solid working trolley and I don't think anything else can go wrong with it.
If I had known the problems I would not have bought it, but I must admit the price I paid, £125 for a remote trolley, could not be bettered at the time, by a long chalk.

I bought a second hand Powakaddy freeway titanium sport off ebay and love the thing. As stated above you get what you pay for but if cost is a consideration then second hand could be an option.
I used to carry and recon that using the electric trolley saves me 2-3 shots a round as Alan said above (unless you are really fit that is!). Mind you one of my playing partners went to shift my carry bag once and nearly put his back out when he tried to lift it.....

Neil,
You cannot go wrong with a Go Kart. Had mine over a year and no problems at all.
Any updates to the design are free too! free delivery and if your wagon breaks, they pick up, drop you a loaner and then send yours back free.
£200 total bargain, and a real head turner, most people can't believe its electric
