Golf Towels

Posted by: user20126 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Sun 8th Feb 2009 10:39 | Last Reply

I have just been reading another thread and it brought my attention to towels.

During the last year I got fed-up with carrying a bar towel sized towel with me onto the green.  So I bought some golf towels from Tescos (£1.49 each)

These towels had a clip on them for attaching to your bag.

Well I went one stage further, and at the start of my round I attach it to my belt.  Being right handed I put it on my belt over my left buttock.  This way it's easy to reach round and grab the towel.

This helps me as I don't have to worry about having a towel with me to clean my ball on the green.

As for drawbacks, well the only one I could think of was the towel blowing about during windy weather.  It does blow about but normally I've gotten used to it or I can tuck it in my belt.

The other towel is a bit bigger and is hung on my bag.

Then in my bag I have my old bar towel sized towel for when I wash the other towels and forget to put them back in my bag!

Fair play Russ.

I have a bar sized one on my bag (although I find this a little too big as the towel then rubs against the floor / wheels GRRRR

For on the green I now have these Ballzee's.

Ballzee

They work quite well.

I'll have to have a look at these.

I do use the towel on my belt for wiping my clubs before a shot and after a shot.

Ballzees are £4.99 for 2 in Direct Golf or they also do a bag version:-

Otherwise I simply carry a dry flannel which is small enough to carry in my pocket.  However I highly recommend the ballzee.
