You should do very well, Andrew, a simple product, but a necessary one. Good luck even though it is considered spam to do it on a golf forum.

I am always losing my pencils, tney seem to get pulled out ones pocket what with gloves and tees etc. so this is a good idea and deserves to be a success for you Andrew.
Please delete the other thread as it is annoying to have two of the same on the active posts page. Thanks.

JonnyP never takes more than 4 strokes on any hole so he can remember them all in his head. At the end of the game he borrows someone elses pencil to record the round.

For what it costs there is no good reason not to have one even if it is used in emergencies only. Hope you do well with it Andrew.

Jonny - that is identical to Andrews one, might be a patent infringement.

I think that there is a market for these, although in someways Jonny P is correct comparing a 5p pencil to this. Economically (if that can be applied to these low budgets) nobody would chose between this and a free pencil. However, if any of you were to turn up to, fr'instance, the N v S comp (or the Gloucester charity day) and these were among the goodies, personalised for the day, then most people would dangle one from their bag for quite a few rounds afterwards. So in that way it's a very marketable product and I'd certainly consider having a few knocked up with my company logo.

Can't resist a gadget can you Tim!
In honesty, I regularly lose pencils so I can see the point. As Tim said, this is the kind of thing that if you got in a goodie bag you would attach to your bag and use. Given the market you are aiming for and the reasonable price, I think you should do well with this. The key is to get the marketing right. Make sure you can get linked in to some companies who specialise in promotional items for corporate events and you will be sorted.
Good luck to you.
