Rory McIlroy
What a splendid display young Rory McIlroy has given so far in Dubai, hopefully he can continue his good form and go on to win his first pro tournament (which I believe he will) I have a feeling once he gets over the first hurdle he will go on to become one of the worlds greatest players, his form since turning Pro has been amazing, and his interviews show he has the personality to go with his undoubted talent, I'd like to wish him all the best and good luck .

I second everything you have written, Pat, that will surprise you.
He is a tremendous player with ability oozing out from everywhere. He will definitely make it, as he has come up the right way being an accomplished amateur.

I also echo those sentiments. I also feel that he will be one of the players who will regain the Ryder Cup from the yanks and be top of the pile as regards automatic qualifiers for the team.
Our current crop of young players is far and away better than those of the americans, both in quantity and quality. The European Tour is IMO so much stronger than the PGA tour.

Seems like he's made of the 'Right Stuff' so I don't think it will be too long before he's winning something.

I too watched that interview and quite honestly it would have reflected badly on him if he had been at all negative.
He has nothing to prove, as he has been at the top for many years and most unfortunate not to have won a major, luck just wasn't with him.
It will be very interesting to watch Rory at the Masters. He could certainly do well there.

An opinion you are entitled to, Pat.
