Looking for Course around Penrith

Hi Guys,

 I am travelling from Glasgow down to Penrith in early July, to play in a Ryder Cup style competition. 2 teams of 12 golfers playing 4 ball, then singles.

We are playing at Penrith Golf Club.

I am looking for a good quality golf course to play the day before, ideally either on the route down, or around the Penrith area.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

May I suggest you spoil yourself and play Siloth-on-Solway Golf course. An excellent links. about thirty miles from Penrith.
