Who played today and how did you get on?

I played my Romford Winter League 2008 game at South Essex GC, Vixen/Heron loops.

To be honest I played well, especially with the wind.

The sun was shining for most of the round but the wind was strong, but to be honest, not as strong as they were forecasting!

Played with Russ and others at South Essex.  Played okay for 1st outing for a while.  32 points off 28 with 4 blobs.  Short game much better than long with some good pitching and chipping.  Won the Par 3 Challenge getting 11 points on the 4 par 3's which was satisfying.  Horrible time with the 3W off the tee (don't tend to use driver).  A couple of bad decisions that cost shots (trying to get out of a hard bunker close to the lip - too 3 attempts before picked it up). Overall very enjoyable.

Plenty of scope there for improvement, Andy. Four blobs, couple of bad decisions and a bunker from hell. 32 points was credible with all that going on.

I shot -6 today and my 6 yr old daughter shot + 48 we love the wii.

Conwy with a few other golfshakers - very windy but loved it!

With Tim and Santo.  Had a mare but enjoyed it.  Would definiely want to go back when the windspeed is below 50 mph!

That gentle breeze that took the 3 iron I drilled at about 15 feet high for the first 120 yards, ballooned it higher than I've ever hit a lob wedge and then threw it back at me?  Yes, that's the one.

My game was bloody rained off on Sunday.

Had a good front 9 on saturday though, after a 7 on the 1st, I took advantage of a temp tee mat which shortened the par 4 2nd to about a 220 carry over the lake, Smashed my 3 wood (my driver has been all over recently) and landed just short of the green, chipped on and putted for a birdie 3. Then finished the front 9 with a score of 40.

Back 9 I started to fall apart from the 14th where the holes start to get longer, I hit one fairway out of 5 and ended up with 55 for the back 9.

My driver used to be my most consistant club but at the minute I can't hit for sh*t
