Right seeing as I posted this I'll start.

Anything to do with golf and my wife lets me buy it, then she wraps it and then I look surprised when I open it. It's a tradition after all!

I was given two golf items for Christmas, a Canterbury Baselayer Cold Turtle Neck long sleeve shirt, and a setup training aid.

No, I haven't tried them yet but I'll give a review when I have.

Russ

First year I didn't get any golf 'tat' or anything golf related.
Did get the Wii Fit board though, hopefully the balance exercises will help may golf posture and my training plan for 2009 to get my handicap down ! Surprisingly at 34 my Wii Fit age was a mere 44 !!! scandalous.
Merry Christmas to all

Got the Nike Sasquatch tour bag with the 14 way divider. As my daughter had some hand in it's purchase it's the Nike traditional yellow and black - because, apparently, it looks cool and I need brightening up. She also bought me some of those flashing tracker balls and have been having a slightly drunken pitching session in the garden with the dog with them - rather surreal watching them fly into the distance and the dog coming back with them in her mouth - they're still flashing through her cheeks!

Hey Paul, the Tiger Woods game is very good on the Wii.
Just watch out for the dog! You're own one I mead (If you've got a dog!)
I took my backswing and started on the downswing, hit my dog (Chocolate coloured labrador) on the head as he walked by me.
Now when I get the Wii out he goes out of the room.

When I first started playing I, like many beginners on here, used to take a club into the garden & practise. On this occasion it was a sunny day & the kids were out playing & my dogs were lounging around.
I had my 3 wood in hand & checked all was clear & was making some swings, I then put a plastic ball on the ground & prepared to hit it. On my downswing my Jack Russell ran from behind me in between my legs to grab the ball.........BANG!!!!!
He lay there with his tongue hanging out his mouth, the kids screamed "YOU'VE KILLED JACK!!?" I ran & got a blanket & covered him in it & then rang the missus to try & explain what had happened whilst trying to find the number of a good vet!
!0mins later he moved shook himself grabbed the plastic ball & ran off!!
I've never practised in the garden ever since that day.

The number of times we've played golf Paul and I didn't know you had a Lab. We'll have to get it together with my chocolate one. Incidently, she avoids my clubs when I'm swinging in the garden but does take the opportunity to rob off with a ball if I'm practicing my putting......

Back to the topic, tried out the new bag today and it's brilliant! Light, easy to pick-up and carry and loads of room for all my stuff. Shame it's the bright yellow version, but at least I could see it in the dark when we teed off this morning!

For me it was an excellent book - Golf is not a game of perfect by Dr Bob Rotella. It was an inspired choice by the missus, and just what the doctor ordered. Have read it already and am starting to re-read it again. It has inspired me to get back out on the course and this afternoon I swung a club for the first time in 5 months, on the range, and I enjoyed it, even if it was only partially successful.

Andy,
I have that book & another on my ipod. It's a superb listen (& read) & would recommend it to anyone.
