A Problem

Posted by: user75266 | Tue 23rd Dec 2008 14:41 | Last Reply

Got a lovely new 7 wood for my birthday (never had a brand new club before!).

I've already got 14 clubs in my bag, so which club should I replace it with?

My 5 wood (which I rarely use), or my 3 or 4 iron (which I use alot).

Playing with it tomorrow morning for the first time!

Why replace either?  Do you already have 14 clubs in your bag?  If you do, I would replace the 3 iron as distance wise they are closest (although the 7 wood is more of a 2 iron)

Defo the 5 wood Dave   the 7 wood will be about the same distance as your 3 iron but also out of the rough. Much easier club than the 5wood or 3&4I in the longer grass ,I've had one in the bag for years. Its ideal to hit high over a tree and great for those 200 yrd par 3's.

Maybe this is an opportunity to renounce your evil chipper ways mentioned in another thread and keep your 3 and 4 irons and your 5 wood.
