Posting advice

Posted by: user112595 | Sat 20th Dec 2008 19:26 | Last Reply

I've just sold 3 clubs on ebay and they need posting out. I thought I had 3 boxes to send them out in but when i checked only one was useable. Would it be safe to wrap the clubs in bubble wrap and then tape up or is there a danger of damaging the graphite shafts in transit? Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Andy,

My last job was driving a truck for City Link and I can tell you I've seen some pretty awful wrapping!

I would suggest putting the three shafts together with the heads sticking out at one end.

Then get plenty of bubble wrap around the whole lot.

Once the bubble wrap is on put black bin liners around the whole package.

Make sure you have enough insurance to cover the whole lot going missing/getting damaged.

Put the usual 'Fragile' sticker on the package, but it will be ignored!

Hope this helps.

Russ

Hello Andy I deal quite a bit on Ebay and would never send any clubs un boxed, even if you use other boxes and over lap the cardboard and tape the ends with parcel tape, it makes the whole packaging much stronger, it does'nt matter how much bubble wrap you use, without being boxed the club will  get damaged.

Go to your nearest golf shop (american-golf or whatever) ask them for a box. thats what I did. They have plenty of them.
