What's in Santa's Sack?
So come on, what have you asked Santa to bring you for Christmas, golf related or otherwise? I've got a new putter coming (I know this because I picked it out) and hopefully a new brolly as mine got broke a couple of weeks ago.
What did everyone else ask for while they sat on the old man's lap?

I know I shouldn't, but I couldn't help but smile at yours Robbie. Sorry mate, but I could just imagine you sat on Santa's lap
"Can I have a train set please Santa?"
"Sorry, they're all gone son. How do you fancy trying this lucky dip instead? Careful though, there's a couple of booby prizes in there...."

Funnily enough, have just intercepted the f*ckwit City Link driver as he desperately rushed down the drive to avoid delivering my Christmas present, a new Nike stand bag. My old faithful Ram has very nearly given up the ghost.
I know what sort it is but have no idea what colour.....
Have also just received my now traditional case of Christmas real ales, not golf related but it helps me dream about playing..

I've specifically said none of my family are to buy me anything golf related as I knew I wouldn't get anything useful like new clubs but would be in danger of getting novelty golf ties, golfball soap on a rope or the worst of all socks with little golfers on them.
By the way Tim what are you going to do if it's pink?

Doesn't matter how good the irons are if there's a badly dressed buffoon attached to the grip.....
Did you end up with black and grey or black and yellow Tim?

Dunno what colour it is, knowing Ruth it won't be anything tasteless. I hope...

Wayne,
Look very nice, I'm just disappointed I'm left handed & won't be able to try them to see how they feel
John.

What is it with these toss pot delivery drivers? Just watched a DHL guy in his van sat for 5 mins outside obviously filling in some paperwork. He then jumped out, ran next door and then to my house and poked a 'sorry you weren't in' slip through the letterbox! He would have got away with it if my neighbour hadn't collared him, so I got in there too. He insisted that he'd rung both doorbells. Bstrd, bstrd, bstrd.
Anyway - just taken delivery of a brand spanking new MD Superstrong 5 wood with the UST Proforce 65 shaft - £29.35 inc. head cover and delivery! Happy Christmas to me.

My daughter, bless her, keeps getting me golf tat each year.... you know the stuff, machines to emboss initials on balls, 24 donnay whatever golf balls etc.. This year she has got me a 'square' driver from a telly shopping channel, she tells me it has a 'graffiti' shaft. I still use an old Wilson 1200 driver (circa 1974)that's been refurbished more times than I care to remember but can't imagine using anything else.
I have tried these clubs and am not that impressed: I reckon the lower the loft the more difficult to keep control.
Has anyone found a use for these new fangled toys apart from unblocking the drain?

i have the Trion z bracelets, had it since the summer, can't say ive noticed any difference. ive also got the Q.LINK pendant, had that for about a month now. it's supposed to help just about everything. stops headaches, stops colds and flu and even improves skin condition. i'm getting better looking by the minute !

I got a Trion Z a few months ago. I suffer with achy joints and sciatica and I must admit I've noticed that it's improved (although it's not a miracle cure as I can still feel it)

I've had the Q-Link for just over a year. Not sure if it's all down to it but I seem more relaxed on the golf course & I've not had as many colds as I normally do.

My wife has kindly paid for an Odyssey two ball white hot centre shaft putter for me. You will all be in serious trouble whe I get back playing. This thing is deadly.

I've paid for Santa to bend all your wedges John to give the rest of us a fighting chance from 40 yards in

Stop whinging you lot, you know it takes me two shots to get up to your drives, so please don't begrudge me the luck that I have as I get closer to the green.

I have had my Q link for 3yrs and would not be without it now. My recovery to forget about bad shots was transformed almost instantly , where it would fester for about the next 3 holes or even the rest of the round sometimes, my mind is clear by the next shot. I haven't thrown a club in 3 yrs either I was throwing them that often I was considering lessons from Fatima Whitbread. It has also helped calm me down in general I seem to be more tolerant of people but this may be mellowing with age. I have also been wearing the Trion Z on and off for a year instead of my copper bracelet.I am not convinced about the Trion or at least for me anyway. So put a Q-link on your christmas list.

The fact that it takes you two (one and a half more like) to reach our drives is the only thing that gives us a fighting chance against you. And luck infers there's no skill involved John. We ALL know better than that. I would gladly swap my power for your finesse.

Finesse, what a lovely word, Chris. You too could have all that finesse if you though more about what you want from a particular shot.
There is no secret at all, it is just being able to visualise what you want the ball to do and then deciding on how to achieve that. Simplicity is the key.
If we were to walk around a green and throw a ball at the pin from all angles then you would be very close indeed as you are able to gauge the power needed to execute the throw. All you have to do is get that same feeling with a golf club. Not difficult at all if you concentrate.
Of course there will be situations like a hard lie with a bunker in between. The biggest obstacle to overcome then is fear. Fear of putting it in the bunker. Commitment to the shot is vital.
