Posted by: user75266 | Mon 15th Dec 2008 15:22 | Last Reply

Ticked off one of my resolutions already!!

Shot 89 today - first time I've hit under 90 - and I started with an 8!

And the handicap's coming down!!

Dave,

Does this mean by the time the next YMCA golf day comes along you'll be off single figures??

John.

89 gross when playing off 28?    Bloody bandit!

Seriously though, well done Dave.  Great feeling isn't it?  Now how long until you do it again?

Congratulations Dave.

It's always nice to break through one of the hurdles in golf.

And seeing as your handicap is also coming down you should start doing it on a regular basis.

Well done Dave.

I've just had a similar experience.  Shot a 95 in June on my home course and at that time was breaking 100 fairly regularly but slowly over the next 5 months my scores slipped back and I was shooting mainly low hundreds.  Then yesterday I reversed the nines on my course and shot 46 on the back nine for a 98.  Went out today and carried on where I left off yesterday and shot 43 for the same nine holes and 50 on the back for a 93 so finally my handicap is falling again.  It a good feeling isn't it.
