What do you do with your balls!
What do you do if you find a golf ball on the course but it's not the make you use?
I played the Priors course at Stapleford Abbotts GC today.
As there was nobody behind me and playing alone I took my time.
There was a two ball teeing off as I arrived in the car park, so I got myself a coffee and a scorecard just to let them get away from me.
On the first hole there is a pond in front of the green, right across so everyone has to go over it to reach the green.
I was on the green in regulation and then my northern instinct kicked in!
So I walked along the edge of the pond, even though my ball was on the green.
There in the pond were golf balls galore.
I fished out 13 balls, of these only 6 were Titleist, Srixon, Calloway or Nike (the brands I play with.)
So what do I do with the other 7 balls?
Well I left them to one side, near the cart path that goes to the 2nd tee. This way the next group along would see them and if they wanted them they could have them.
This is the first time I have done this.
Over the past year I have picked up nearly every ball I've found, put it in my bag.
Once I get home I put the balls I use into a carrier bag.
The ones I don't use I put into a different carrier bag.
Well it ended up that I now have a very full carrier bag with the balls I use.
Two carrier bags with the balls I don't use!
I gave one carrier bag to my nephew and dad the last time I was up in Doncaster.
I tried to sell one bag to Lakeballs.com (only 4 miles from me), but they only wanted premium golf balls this time of year.
Then I checked on Ebay, plenty of sellers but no bids.
So I think from now on I'll only collect the balls I use and leave the others on the next tee.
So what do you do with your spare golf balls?

I save them till I have a carrier bag full then usually give them away.

I leave them where they are.

Yes John I know ,They are still all rolling around the boot of my car. LOL.

John, my problem is giving them away!
Every one who plays golf with me normally has enough golf balls so they don't want them.
I don't go up to Doncaster that often so taking a bag up there isn't really on.

My dog has a liking for golf balls and whenever I practice putting in the house the only way I can get her to leave me alone is if I let her 'nick' a ball and run off with it. This is where those found Top Flites come in handy.

Chris, I've got a chocolate coloured labrador and given half a chance he'd be out the door with a golf ball.
The only problem is that I'd be at the vets in about three months having them all removed from his stomach.

Funny that Russ because that's exactly what I have too, only the girl version!!! Fortunately she prefers to roll them across the wooden flooring and chase after them (after giving them a headstart of course!) rather than eating them. Problem is the missus blames me when she finds golf balls hidden in strategic places all over the house!

As mentioned in another thread I only seem to find Titleists since I settled on using Srixons so i give them to one of my playing partners who likes them and has a bad hook so needs a lot of balls.

I keep them until winter..
Or use one if tee shot is over water..
Or take them over the field on my practice sessions..

just use them at the driving range!
I never really find many at all!
