What's your putter?
O.K. we've had the "whats your driver post's" but what's you straight stick?
I'm currently using a Rossa inza c/shaft, but due to receive a "Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 studio stainless" can't wait!

I have recently changed to a TM Rossa Monza Spider from a Monza Corza. The Spider is awesome for feel and easy of use and would recommend it to anyone.

I have just bought on ebay an Odyssey 2-ball with centre shaft. Why you ask. Well I had to play with my partners clubs a few weeks ago as buggies were banned and would not be able to get round pulling a trolley, so I just walked and used his clubs. He has Mizuno mp57 irons and a Sumo square headed driver as well a an Odyssey 2-ball centre shaft.
Apart from the fact that his clubs were all stiff shaft and I could not get a quiver out of them, they all went straight, but not very far. The Putter on the other hand was a revelation, as I quickly found out that anything six foot in was a simple putt with this thing, I did not look like missing the short ones all day. Benefits are obvious. With the confidence of this fact then all chips can be bold, all putts can be bold.
I have been using a PGA Collection Mallet putter that Wayne gave to me at Belton Woods and a good putter it has been, only one thing I do not like about it is the lie angle, it is too far upright for me to feel really comfortable and I doubt it would bend successfully.

Currently an Odessey White Hot #7 (mallet), but I'm considering a change (Christmas is coming and the missus is asking what to get me!). Current favourite is the Odessey Black Series i #1 (blade). Tried the Scotty's, don't like them.

Here we go then. I've got a cheap and cheerful Ram Zebra blade that came with my first set of clubs I bought. It's got a couple of mods, I've machined 3mm off the rear edge and added a bit of weight to the outside shoulder to align the C of G a bit better, it's also got some extra alignment marks to eliminate parallax error.
Must get back on project 231 soon

I have one of these.
A scotty cameron bullseye
I really like it, but I tend to find I struggle with it on longer puts.

I had a putter designed and custom fit for me by Dave Hicks over 3 years ago. He's one of the only customer fitters for putters and when you meet him he gives you a lesson and a fitting session. It works on the principle that shaft length and lie angle are different for each player, which stands to reason as it effects the lie of other clubs.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for something non-mainstream. Having it fitted gives you the confidence it's never the club causing those 3 putts.

Simon, you are a good player and appreciate that the lie is one of the most important things to consider when being fitted for ones putter, but you will have to agree with me that there have been many wonderful putters throughout the ages who did it all wrong, so to speak. Just think of Mr Lu at the open with the toe of his putter so far off the ground it looked as though it was pointing to the sky.
I feel I am a pretty solid putter, but I doubt I would pass your conventional test in respect of setup, stance, and stroke. I never stand the same way two putts in a row, so I dread to think what you would make of me.

My putter is a Donnay Challenger 1.
It cost me £3.49 from one of the discount sports shops (JJB, etc.)
I was in the shop and just looking at the golf stuff and I picked up this putter and it felt so right. And for £3.49 it was worth a chance buying it.
I know that the quality will be poor but at the moment it's working well for me, putting has always been the best part of my game.
Recently I have tried a few of the putters that my pro has in his shop but to be honest the results have been no better than what I'm doing with my putter, so why change?
