Winter LEague venues - Help Needed!

Posted by: user97421 | Sun 16th Nov 2008 08:30 | Last Reply

I have approached the following venues for possible matches in January, February and March

Styyrup Hall
The Grange
Rother Valley
Phoenix
Lees Hall
Shirland
Doncaster Golf Club
Doncaster Town Moor
Bondhay - Can accomodate on the 22nd March 12:00 tee time (sunset is around 18:20) The cost would be £28.60 each, but would get a free game for every 12 taking part, which would drop the price by £2. This does not include prize money.

I have played at Bondhay, Rother, The Grange, Phoenix, but would really appriciate any comments about the rest listed.

Trying to get two venues in Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield areas so it spreads the games around

All courses i have contacted so far, should be less than £30 for game and food.

I have reviewed course reveiws on the internet, but hopefully, some of you can give me some feedback?

Al, how far south do you want to go?  Ormonde Fields near Ripley is a nice little course and pretty easy to get to from the M1.  Not sure how it copes with the winter but I'm over that way this week so I'll check iy out.

Ormonde Fields can get quite sticky when wet weather comes so I would personally give it a miss. However, a nice course to play in the summer months.
