This Fat Little Dumplin is Joining The Gym
Yes, finally got around to joining my local gym and off there in morning for my induction.
Just wondered who else "works out" and how often.
Also are your work outs golf specific or general fitness.
And how soon did you see a difference in your well being..

I hate the gym, bores me senseless. I don't get the time to go either. I have a rowing machine at home though; it's dusty.
The missus nagged me senseless for a Wii Fit. When I got her one she used it for 30 minutes and was sweating and huffing and puffing. "Can't be that bad, it's only like a step" I said. "You have a go then" was the retort. How stupid was I to say yes. MY GOD IT'S KNACKERING!!! It works the whole body, sets up and exercise plan for you based on what you tell it you want to do (lose weight, tone up, etc) and you can really feel it the next day. Cheaper than going to the gym and you can do it in your own home.

The whole package - Wii console, controllers, Wii Fit, game (more of a torture device) - is around £200. Worth shopping around as there's often bundle deals on but beware the Christmas rush as they'll sell out and the prices will go up. We already had the console so just had to get the Wii Fit - about £70. You can get Tiger Woods 2009 for it too and I've been told that it's very realistic as you swing the controller like a club. I'd have a 'power fade' and lose shed loads of balls on it then.....

Have tried the Wii.Thought it was ok for a bit of fun but that was about it. The jogging was a bit short for me so hardly worked up a sweat and the other stuff, well yes helped with balance etc but can't replace the real stuff for me..
Will keep tabs on how I do - the intital plan is 3 nights a week, Mon Wed Fri but that may change when I meet my mentor tomorrow..
Oh and a sauna early doors Saturday..

Don't pay gym memberships get an allotment its much cheaper and you end up with a healthier diet too. Some of the vegetable you grow may be yellow though.
