Holding the pose

Posted by: user81725 | Sat 30th Aug 2008 20:23 | Last Reply

Watching the pro's holding their finish pose I got to thinking why since the ball is already struck would you want to stand and pose, now I know when I've hit  a decent shot I stand and pose like the pro's but is this just for confidence, is it showing off, or does it actually help in your golf swing, I hope its the latter as I know I'm not good enough to be a show off. LOL

It is only possible to get to the 'pose position' by going through the ball correctly.

I don't know why he held the pose for a longer period than necessary. It is very rare when playing to ever achieve the pose let alone hold it.

We are all guilty of this when we find that we have completed the swing on balance, as this is such a rare occurrence. I doubt it was for the cameras and I fail to see how it would boost his confidence, other than remind him that it should be repeated as often as possible. He is a very good player eh!
