Finally I am making progress!!!

Posted by: user95093 | Thu 17th Jul 2008 16:12 | Last Reply

After months of hitting in the hundreds (albeit low hundreds) I recently hit a couple of 97 rounds which reduced my handicap to 27.2...

....today I got out again and shot a 92!!!!! Handicap down to 25.2 and I'm a happy bunny!!!

You will find, Chris, that when thinking back about each round you play there was always room for a slight improvement. It is that magic word 'if' that is the problem.

Well done Chris.  Jumping from low hundreds to 97 is a reasonable improvement to follow it with a 92 is great.  Don't get disheartened if it takes a little while to get all your scores into the low 90's as one offs are easier than round after round.

Dave is that 90 lovely srixons nestling in the pond or a score you are trying to achieve.

Jon T, I too became good very quickly, in fact it only took me seven months to shoot a 69 after a first ever round of 104.

After the 104 I got worse shooting 109,111, 124 then my first time under 100 with a 99. Two months to get into the 80's and the same to get into the 70's.

Now I can't play the game.
