Rewing Premium Account

Posted by: user28775 | Sat 21st Jun 2008 17:10 | Last Reply

Hi.

I am trying to renew my account.  I have a premium account - but I can't find anoption to renew it.  All I can find is invitations to upgradeto a platinum account.  I can see that this is the price but frankly I am happy with the stats package you provide and don't really want cards and things......

How do I renew the existing package - or have you actually withdrawn it.

Mine is due next week, Roger and I cannot see where to renew either, just suggesting an upgrade to Platinum.

Im not sure whether Darren has withdrawn the existing premium account however i have looked around and i think that the price for the platinum service is extremely good, in fact less than other sites are charging just for arranging games with no real statistics or handicap functionality. I also dont feel the need for a handicap card but i will be happy when my account expires to upgrade as i sort of feel that i have been undercharged for the excellent service up till now

When you log in you should see a middle page banner with upgrade info.  Also when you log in also on the main home page on the left hand side you should see a 'upgrade now' link this will also include an account type link, clicking this will  show your account status and should show the upgrade link.

Does this show ?

Regards, Darren.

Darren, The guys want to renew their existing membership at its current level not upgrade to the platinum account. The question is whether this is possible?

Darren,

I have looked and I can't see it. I really have.  Whatever options there are only allow upgrade to the new product - £14.95 reduced to the same price as Premium Product £9.95.

I know - its the same price for a year.  I am just thinking ahead  - because I'm like that(!)

Can we assume that the Premium Product has been withdrawn and that the new one is priced the same for the moment?

Today is renewal day and I cannot find a link to do this for the Premium Account only, just an upgrade link, which when followed, does not show a choice between premium and platinum, just the new Platinum Card, which I don't want or need.

John/Roger, either of you mind if I log into your accounts on my development server to check ?

I've tested this and all should be okay but obviously not obvious enough.  Maybe a key thing for me to check especially if it's what pays to keep the site running and members don't know how to upgrade.

Regards, Darren.

Help yourself, Darren, all I want to do is pay you.

It needs a separate link to renew a premium membership.

Darren,

Please feel free. I do system support for a living and have done for many years - so I am more than happy to do anything I can to help.

And now - I'm off to Rushmoor Park, which a friend of mine described as having 10 lakes on 7 holes.  I will pop back over the weekend.

I realise it is the weekend now - and people shouldhave better things to do than update websites.  Just wanted to say - my Premium Account expires on Monday.

If my stats remain unaffected by a period of non-membership then that will be fine - until you get a fix in.

Only lost two balls in the water at Rushmore.  Almost a victory.

The end is nigh.  Tonight my account expires.  What then?

Im fairly sure you wont lose you data but to be on the safe side you should backup your scores from the admin section. If your not sure how to do this then post back on here and ill cobble some basic instructions together for you.

Just to let you know this should now be fixed.

Because of this minor bug the renewal system was also turned off but will be reactivated over the weekend.  So whilst your account may show that it expires on the 30th June, it didn't because I turned off the automated system.

Basically if you are an existing Premium member you can upgrade to the PLatinum service for £9.95 instead of the general price of £14.95.  For some reason I had only given one option to Premium members needing to renew although the price was still the same at £9.95.

If you try now you should see an option to renew your Premium at £9.95 or upgrade to a PLatinum at £9.95 also.

Standard members will see the Platinum at £14.95 and Premium at £9.95

Hope this helps, any probs please shout as I know you will.

Kind regards, Darren.
